How to Import Suunto Dives into My Dive Locker

My Dive Locker can bring Suunto dives into your dive log through an account connection or a file import. Once connected, you can sync recent dives, skip dives already in your log, and fill in depth charts for earlier dives. You can also export a dive from the Suunto app as a FIT file and import it directly. Importing dives from a dive computer is free on every plan.

What you need

Steps

  1. Open your dive log and go to the “Log a dive” area.
  2. Find the Suunto row and connect your Suunto account.
  3. Once connected, confirm the row shows “Connected as” followed by your Suunto username.
  4. Select “Sync now” to bring in recent dives.
  5. If you prefer a file, use “or import a file instead” and select your exported dive file.
  6. Review the imported dives in your dive log.

Which files you can use

My Dive Locker accepts .fit, .uddf, .xml, .csv, .db and .zip files. You can import one file or several at once. The Suunto app can export a dive as a FIT file.

FAQ

What happens when I sync my Suunto account?

Syncing brings in recent dives and skips dives that are already in your log. It also fills in depth charts for earlier dives where that information can be added.

How do I know my Suunto account is connected?

After connection, the Suunto row shows “Connected as” followed by your Suunto username. The same row also shows “Sync now”, “or import a file instead”, and an icon you can use to disconnect.

Can I import a Suunto dive without connecting my account?

Yes. The Suunto app can export a dive as a FIT file. In My Dive Locker, use “or import a file instead” and choose the exported file.

What should I do if a Suunto dive does not import?

Use the file import instead. Export the dive from the Suunto app as a FIT file, then import that file through the Suunto row in your dive log.
