How to Import Garmin Descent Dives into My Dive Locker

Garmin Descent dives are brought into My Dive Locker through a dive file. There is no Garmin account connection or sync inside My Dive Locker. Export your dive as a FIT file from the Garmin Connect website or the Garmin Dive app, then import the file from the Garmin Descent row. Importing dives from a dive computer is free on every plan.

What you need

Steps

  1. Export your dive as a FIT file from the Garmin Connect website or Garmin Dive app.
  2. If using the Garmin Connect website, go to Activities, filter for dives, and export the dive.
  3. Open your My Dive Locker dive log and go to the “Log a dive” area.
  4. Find the Garmin Descent row.
  5. Select “Import dive file” and choose the FIT file from the file picker.
  6. Review the imported dive in your dive log.
